Holstein Australia Board & BDCC Nominations 2026

Dear Member,

The Holstein-Friesian Association of Australia Incorporated (“Holstein Australia”) is calling for nominations to both the Board and the Breed Development and Confirmation Committee (“BDCC”).  Effective from 1st October 2026.

NATIONAL BOARD

The National Board of the Holstein–Friesian Association of Australia Inc. (Trading as Holstein Australia (HA)) invites nominations for three (3) vacant Director (elected) positions on the Holstein Australia National Board.

3 x Three-year term

• Current Director, Mr Gino Pacitti having completed his current three (3) year term must retire by rotation and is eligible for re-election.
• Current Director, Mr Byran Dickson having completed his current three (3) year term must retire by rotation and is eligible for re-election.

In addition, the Board is calling for nominations for the vacant position, left by Gary Carpenter after completing his Board tenure of 12 years.

Nominees must be either a Full, Ordinary or Youth member of Holstein Australia and be financial to be eligible.

Elected members of the Board serve for a term of three (3) years or as otherwise stated.

BREED DEVELOPMENT AND CONFORMATION COMMITTEE

The National Board of the Holstein–Friesian Association of Australia Inc. (Trading as Holstein Australia (HA)) invites nominations for two (2) vacant positions on the Breed Development and Conformation Committee (BDCC).

2 x Three-year terms

• Current BDCC member, Mr Brett Cirillo, having held his current position for three (3) years must retire by rotation and is eligible for re-election.
• Current BDCC member, Ms Emily Robins, having held her current position for one (1) year, filling the mid-rotation role left open by the resignation of Mr Bill Morgan, must retire by rotation and is eligible for re-election.

Nominees must be either a Full, Ordinary or Youth member of Holstein Australia and be financial to be eligible.

Elected members of the BDCC serve for a term of three (3) years or as otherwise stated.

NOMINATION INFORMATION

Nominees for all federal committee positions must be either a Full, Ordinary or Youth member of Holstein Australia and be financial to be eligible.

Members will be notified of the both the Board and BDCC nominees after the closing date for return of nominations.

Completed nomination forms, along with a brief resume of no more than 150 words, of your vision as to the role of Holstein Australia in the future and a recent photograph of yourself must be lodged no later than 5pm, Victorian (AEDT) Thursday 15th October 2026.

Members who are appointed to the Holstein Australia Board will require a Director Identification Number (DIN).  The DIN can be applied for via the Australian Business Registry Services (ABRS) www.abrs.gov.au/director-identification-number/apply-director-identification-number.

In accordance with the Rules, should the number of nominations exceed the number of vacant positions, a vote will occur involving all Members.
