BDCC Nominations 2025
The Holstein-Friesian Association of Australia Incorporated (“Holstein Australia”) is calling for nominations to the Breed Development and Confirmation Committee (“BDCC”). The BDCC is responsible for setting direction for the present and future production and functional characteristics of the Holstein breed in Australia.
This is an additional call for nominations as sufficient nominations were not previously received to fill the vacancies of the Committee.
Nominations for Breed Development and Confirmation Committee Positions open on Tuesday 16th December and close at 5pm Victorian DST on Friday 9th January 2026. Nominations are invited for:
TWO positions on the Holstein Australia BDCC
1 x Three year terms
- The Board is calling for nominations for the vacant position on the BDCC having not received a nomination for the vacancy prior to the 2025 Annual General Meeting.
1 x One year term
- Mr Bill Morgan having successfully been appointed to Board and having to resign from his position on the BDCC has created a vacancy for a one (1) year term.
Elected members of the BDCC serve for a term of three (3) years or as otherwise stated.
Nomination Information
Nominees for all federal committee positions must be either a Full, Ordinary or Youth member of Holstein Australia and be financial to be eligible.
Members will be notified of the BDCC nominees after the closing date for return of nominations. Closing date for return of nominations is by 5pm Victorian DST Friday 9th January 2026.
In accordance with the Rules, should the number of nominations exceed the number of vacant positions, a vote will occur involving all Members.
