Breed Development & Conformation Committee Update
Nominations to elect members to Holstein Australia’s Breed Development and Conformation Committee (BDCC) open next week. The positions available are as follows:
Two three year terms
- Current BDCC member, Wes Brown, having held his current position for three (3) years must retire by rotation and is eligible for re-election.
- The Board is also calling for nominations for the vacant position on the BDCC having not received a nomination for the vacancy prior to the 2024 AGM.
One two year term
- Current Breed Development and Conformation Committee member, Scott Somerville, has resigned from the BDCC, creating a vacancy for a two (2) year term.
Nomination forms will be circulated to members no later than Thursday 2nd October 2025 via email and letter to those members who have requested not to receive email communication from Holstein Australia.
Nominees must be either a Full, Ordinary or Youth member of Holstein Australia and be financial to be eligible.
The Holstein Australia Board thanks Scott Somerville for his contribution to the BDCC and the development of the Holstein breed during his tenure on the Committee.
