All Australian Photographic Competition Reinstated

Holstein Australia is pleased to announce that the 2025 Semex All Australian Photographic Competition has been reinstated, following the Board’s decision to reverse the earlier cancellation.

The 2024/25 competition was originally cancelled due to issues surrounding the supply of RAW images – a condition of entry introduced to uphold judging transparency. However, after receiving strong feedback from entrants and members expressing concern and disappointment, the Board has reconsidered its position.

While the intent behind this rule was sound, the difficulty experienced by entrants in accessing RAW images meant they could not meet the competition requirements.

Effective immediately, the requirement to provide RAW images has been removed. All previous entries remain valid. This decision has been communicated directly to all entrants.

Holstein Australia thanks all members and entrants for their engagement and passion for the All Australian and looks forward to showcasing the very best in Australian Holstein cattle photography through this valued competition.

In the coming months Holstein Australia will consult with members, the Member Advisory and Breed Development committees and competition stakeholders to ensure that the transparency and integrity of the competition can be maintained into the future.
