With many Sub-Branch activities and get togethers curtailed for the duration of the current social distancing restrictions, Holstein Australia can set up online Sub-Branch meetings on your behalf.
While Australia continues to make good progress in flattening the COVID-19 curve, face-to-face meetings, local shows and events look like they could be off the agenda for a little while to come.
Victoria’s Western District was the first Sub-Branch to utilise this new service, and according to Sub-Branch President, Dave Weel, it underlined the importance of being able to hold meetings in (almost) the usual way and catch up with fellow members.
“We had a really good meeting,” says Dave. “In reality we don’t know how long this will last so we figured we would embrace technology and have a Zoom meeting with support from Holstein Australia. We didn’t really have a lot to discuss but it was great to simply get online and have chat. While farming goes on, the outlets for farmers like local footy aren’t, so simple catch ups like this are going to be really important.”
Holstein Australia’s Rohan Butler, who set up the meeting on behalf of Western Districts, says: “We all understand the downsides of being locked down, but there are some upsides. We’re really happy that we can provide this opportunity for all Sub-Branches. This also provides a chance for interaction between Sub-Branches and the Holstein Australia office like never before.”
