Under the terms of the rules of the Holstein-Friesian Association of Australia Incorporated (trading as Holstein Australia) elections of Strategic Directions Committee (SDC) members must be held prior to the Annual General Meeting of Holstein Australia scheduled for 2nd September 2020.
The Strategic Directions Committee provides advice and recommendations to the Board on strategy and policy development that helps the Board in decisions on the strategic direction of the Association. Find out more about the SDC and its full remit here.
Nominations for Strategic Directions Committee Regional Representatives from Western Australia, Tasmania and Northern Victoria open Friday 13th March and close Wednesday 27th March 2020.
Nominations are invited for:
West Australia SDC Regional Representative. Current representative, Ray Kitchen, having held his position for three years, must retire by rotation and is eligible for re-election.
Tasmanian SDC Regional Representative. Current representative, Olivia Milhouse, having held her position for three years, must retire by rotation and is eligible for re-election.
Northern Victoria SDC Regional Representative. Current representative, Jon Holland, having held his position for three years, must retire by rotation and is not standing for re-election.
Nominees must be an Ordinary member of Holstein Australia who are fully paid up for the 2019/20 subscription year, and from within the regions specified above. Associate and Junior members are ineligible to nominate.
Should there be more than one nomination for any one position at close of business on Wednesday 27th March 2020, being the closing date for nominations, an election will be held and members eligible to vote within that region will be asked to elect their representative by ballot.
Eligible members can nominate by downloading and completing the nomination form and returning to the Holstein Australia office, AgriBio, 5 Ring Road, Bundoora, 3083 by the close of business on 27th March 2020 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
