A National Dairy Youth Camp for 16 to 20 year olds, to be held at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds, is being planned for January 2020.
Expressions of interest are now being sought for the camp via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Expressions of interest must be received by 5pm Thursday 31st October. Dependant on the number of Expressions of Interest received a decision will be made whether the camp will proceed.
The National Dairy Youth Camp is planned to take place over four days from Sunday 5th to Wednesday 8th January.
The camp will have a focus on assisting young dairy men and women to identify and explore career pathways in the industry in addition to working with animals in preparation for a show on the final day.
With site visits to genetics companies and AgriBio, Victoria’s world-class agricultural biosciences research centre and home to Holstein Australia, Jersey Australia and Datagene, plus a number of guest speakers planned, the Camp will touch on almost every aspect of what it takes to make it as a breeder or pursue other career options in the dairy industry as well as animal health, husbandry, showing, judging.
Email email@example.com today to ensure your name is on the list to participate in the 2020 National Dairy Youth Camp. All those who register by 31st October will be contacted in early November with further details.
