Holstein Australia Board and Committee member nominations 2019
Under the terms of the rules of the Holstein-Friesian Association of Australia Incorporated (trading as Holstein Australia) elections of Directors and Breed Development and Conformation Committee members must be held prior to the Annual General Meeting of Holstein Australia scheduled for 18th September 2019.
Nominations for Holstein Australia Federal Positions open on Monday 29th July and close on Monday 12th August 2019.
Nominations are invited for:
Two director positions on the Holstein Australia National Board.Current director, Garry Carpenter, having held his position for three years, must retire by rotation and is eligible for re-election. Current director, David Johnston, having held his position for three years, must retire by rotation but is ineligible for re-election due to term limits.
Two Breed Development and Conformation Committee (BDCC) positions.Wes Brown and Geoff Horrocks, having held their positions for four years, must retire by rotation and both are eligible for re-election.
Nominees for the above must be an Ordinary member of Holstein Australia and be financial to be eligible.
One All Australian Selection Committee position.Wes Brown, having held his position for three years, must retire and is ineligible for re-election due to term limits.
Nominees for the above must be an Ordinary member of Holstein Australia, on their respective state judges’ panel and be financial to be eligible.
Should there be more than one nomination for each position at close of business on Monday 12th August, being the closing date for nominations, a ballot will be held prior to the Holstein Australia Annual General Meeting.
The All Australian Selection Committee judges are appointed by the Board following a recommendation by the Strategic Directions Committee (SDC). No election is held.
