| Holstein Youth Aggregate Award – Rules & Guidelines
1. Entrants must nominate themselves at the beginning of each year.
2. Upon receipt of the nomination form, each entrant will be sent a log-sheet. The log-sheet must be filled in and signed by either a steward or committee member from the sub-branch responsible for the show. Entries without an official witness signature will NOT RECEIVE POINTS ** Holstein Youth/All Australian Photo Competition entries, are the only exception whereas a Holstein Australia office official will verify the entry.
3. The log-sheet must contain the entrant’s name and contact details, name of calf, DOB of calf, qualifying AA show, class details and placing.
4. The log sheet and submission points are the sole responsibility of the entrant – Please ensure all log-sheets are neatly and correctly filled out and returned by the due date or points may not be accepted.
5. Points are obtained through participation in Holstein Youth/All Australian Calf Classes at All Australian Qualifying Shows and eligible calf shows, and the Holstein Youth/All Australian Calf Class Photo Competition.
6. The entrant does not have to exhibit the same animal at each show.
7. The entrant does not have to own the animal they are exhibiting.
8. Entrants can enter as many Holstein Youth/All Australian Calf Classes as they please, but only one log-sheet from each event will be accepted.
9. Points awarded from interstate competitions are also eligible for the State Holstein Youth Aggregate Winner.
10. Points will not carry over to the following year.
11. In the event of a tie, a count-back system will be used to determine the winner.
12. Eligibility of entrants follow the same rules and guidelines of the Holstein Youth/All Australian Calf Class.
13. Awards will be conducted using a point score system with points gained during the period, January 1st to December 31st 2008.
14. If the Holstein Youth entrant does NOT submit a log sheet, they will not receive any points.
15. The closing date for submitting the completed log-sheet is December 31st 2008.
16. Awards will be announced at International Dairy Week. 17. Awards will be awarded to:
NATIONAL HOLSTEIN YOUTH AGGREGATE WINNER – awarded to the highest aggregate of points nationally over the calendar year.
STATE HOLSTEIN YOUTH AGGREGATE WINNER – awarded to the highest aggregate of points for the state in which the entrant lives.
18. Points will be awarded as follows:-
