The second “21st Century Genetics Select Holstein Sale” saw a compilation of top
quality genetics bought together at Tatura last week, with buyers from around the
world keenly registering their interest. A top price of $19,500 was paid for a stylish
ROUMARE daughter in Ebony Park Roumare Toni who in turn goes back to the well
known imported cow Walkerbrae Triple T Toni Ex (IMP), she sold to S & J Mills of Jet
Star Holsteins on account of B & M Smith of Scotts Creek VIC. Another ROUMARE
daughter Krezanda Roumare Damsel sold for $17,000, to A Coombes of Long Flat on
account of R & J Zerk and DS Peglar of McLaren Vale, SA. H & D Dodd of Starcrest
Holsteins purchased lot 8, Windy Vale Baxter Rose, this ALTABAXTER daughter goes
back to the world famous “BLACKROSE” family; she sold on account of Windy Vale
Holsteins, SA. A rare and unique embryo package sold as lot 13 on account of Rocky
Mountain Holsteins and Crackholme Holsteins of Canada. 8 ALTATRUMAN embryos
from the world famous BRAEDALE GOLDWYN daughter, Gen-I-Beq Goldwyn Secret
VG87-2yo sold to A Arena of Coomboona for $4,800 per embryo and 3 ALTABAXTER
embryos from the same cow sold to Sandy Hills Farms of Naringal for $3,400 per
embryo.
Overall 38 outstanding lots grossed $275,400.00 and averaged $7,247.00.
