WA’s registered bull market bullish

nardoo bullWednesday 7 March saw the West Australian region of Holstein Australia 58th annual bull sale take place with Carenda Nardoo 525 (g) (Sire: Hill Valley SS Nardoo Dam: Carenda Reginald Verra-ET (g)) fetching the top price of $7,750.

Attended by buyers from throughout the region, Australia’s longest running Holstein bull sale, saw 27 bulls and 3 females from Carenda Holsteins, Treeton Holsteins and Katandra Park Jerseys & Holsteins go under the hammer at the Boyanup sale yards, with all lots selling in a little under an hour.

buyers WACommenting on the sale from Boyanup, Holstein Australia’s Chief Operations Officer, David Jupp, said: “The sale was solid with the majority of bulls listed supported by genomic test results and all coming from well-known pedigrees with high production, which underlines the quality of bulls being bred by our members here in WA.”
